Trumeau Mirror.
Description: Large scale Louis XVI Parcel guilt and gray painted Trumeau. circa 1780.
Location: MAISON FELICE. 73960 El Paseo, Palm Desert. CA.
Beginning stage: Mirror is missing a fragment at the center of the garland formation.
Task:
1. To research other similar mirrors in order to find an appropriate design that befits the style and antiquity of the mirror.
2. Create a drawing and pattern over a new piece of wood in order to carve the missing fragment.
3. Carving of leaves and ribbon that have been chosen.
4. Application of Bol and Gilding.
5. Application of Patina which creates an effect of aging.
